Summer Park Registration is Open!

Details:

  • Children ages 5-12: $50 per child / per week.
  • August 3-14, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
  • Location: Floyd Town Park

Required Documentation:

To complete your registration, you must provide:

  • Proof of Residency: Current Utility bill and Drivers License
  • Child’s Grade Verification: Child’s Current Report Card
  • Medical Info: Child’s Current Immunization Record
  • Credit/Debit Card: Payment due with form submission

Who can participate?

The Floyd Summer Park Program is open to children ages 5–12 that have parents that live in the Town of Floyd.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday

9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Where is the program located?

The program will take place at Floyd Town Park.

How much does the program cost?

The program fee is $50 per child, per week.

How do I register my child?

Registration forms must be completed and submitted with payment before your child’s spot is reserved. Space is limited to 80 children and registration is first come, first served.

What should my child bring each day?

Children should bring:

• Water bottle

• Lunch

• Sneakers

• Sunscreen

• Towel/swimsuit/change of clothes on water activity days

• Any necessary medications (with staff notification)

What should my child NOT bring?

Please do not send:

• Tablets or iPads

• Expensive electronics

• Toys from home

• Items that may become lost or damaged

Cell phones may be collected during program hours and returned at pickup if they are a nuisance.

Will there be water activities?

Yes. Water activities may include supervised slip and sides and outdoor water games.

What happens during bad weather?

The program will operate rain or shine whenever safely possible.

In cases of severe weather or unsafe conditions:

• Activities may move indoors or under shelter

• Outdoor activities may be modified

• Parents will be notified if cancellation or early dismissal becomes necessaryHow will I be notified about cancellations or emergencies?

Families may be notified through:

• Phone calls

• Text messages

• Email

• Town social media pages

• Park Program Facebook group

Please make sure your emergency contact information remains current.

Are snacks or lunch provided?

No. Children should bring their own lunch, snacks, and water bottle daily.

What if my child has allergies or medical needs?

Please include all medical information, allergies, dietary restrictions, medications, or behavioral concerns on the registration form so staff can best support your child.

What safety measures are in place?

The safety of participants is our highest priority.

Program safety measures include:

• Staff supervision at all times

• Emergency contact procedures

• First aid/CPR trained staff member on site

• Daily attendance procedures

• Structured group supervision

Can someone else pick up my child?

Yes, but only individuals listed as authorized emergency contacts on your registration form may pick up your child. Identification may be requested.

What happens if my child has behavioral issues?

The program follows a Three Strike Policy designed to maintain a safe and positive environment for all participants. Repeated unsafe, disrespectful, or disruptive behavior may result in dismissal from activities or the program.

Are refunds available?

No refunds will be issued for program registration, including weather-related interruptions or schedule changes.
